Dear
Friends of Mojalet:
Thank you for your continuing support of Mojalet Dance Collective.
Mojalet began in 1991 with a simple yet multifaceted concept.
The idea was to have a core group of dancers in the company, but
also act as an open forum for aspiring and accomplished modern dancers
and choreographers to share their works. Over the years, these works
have been presented to the community through Mojalet dance performances,
and at any number of collaborative efforts such as, Celebrate Dance
Festival, and Young Audiences of San Diego.
Committed to education, Mojalet dancers have gone into schools
throughout the county introducing simple dance movements and concepts
and performing in an interactive lecture-demonstration format.
We are now moving into projects that are focused on the young
teen and preteen audience by addressing societal and peer-related
issues.
We are happy to announce that as of August 2003, Mojalet Dance
Collective received non-profit status. Help us enrich the culture of our
community and enlighten our young people through movement.
Your contribution enables us to reach our dreams…enriching
lives one step at a time.
Join at the Onyx level,
a $25 contribution, and receive our quarterly newsletter. The
Pearl
level membership includes an invitation to
the Annual Christmas Membership Party for just $50. The Emerald
level, at $100, also includes a personal viewing of assigned works in
progress. In addition, a Ruby membership includes an invitation
to the Gala Party after the season opener in September for only $200.
Diamond members contributing $500 or more receive two
complimentary tickets to Cafe Mojalet, in addition to everything
mentioned above, as well as a company photo and a free private dance
class or join the company dance classes!
Come train with Faith and the dancers and experience the joy of
movement and expression.
Thanks again for your support. It
tells us you believe in what we are doing and allows you to share in our
mission. We look forward to seeing all of you later this year at the
annual Christmas Membership Party!
Gratefully,
Faith Jensen-Ismay , Director
and The Mojalet Dancers
