High
School - Special designed residencies from a single master class to
setting choreography for high school dance productions. Each school can
design the residency based on their personal needs. Many high
schools offer their students opportunities to learn from professionals
in the performing arts industry; these experiences help to broaden their
vision of dance as an art form. We offer students the chance to
learn modified repertory from the company, adapting to their
levels and the amount of participants. |

Performance and Lecture Demonstrations We offer three different and unique programs that educate, entertain, and expose children to the art of dance. All programs are designed to offer audience participation. All three programs are available and vary for the different ages and grade levels. Special repertory programs are available for high school and middle school. Athletic Motion explores the relationship between sports and dance, and demonstrates that dancers are athletic artists. Using imagery and actual athletic drills, the program enlightens the audience that many common daily movements and sports ideas are very basic to dance. The use of quality, timing and spatial directions can turn basic movements into dance. Dancing Through The Pages connects literature and dance, using themes and literal interpretations from stories to create the movement. The program guides the learners and motivates them to use their reading material as a source for movement invention. This year we are offering a revised program with support from Hunter Industries and the Toby Wells Foundation. Bach Steps is designed for the classical music lover, and exposes the beauty of classic scores by J. S. Bach. This program relates to the classic lines and design of traditional & contemporary dance. Bach wrote for a variety of instruments creating different moods and feelings within his work; the choreography is designed to give a visual interpretation to the music. Portraits with Mozart will be included in this program to celebrate the genius work of Mozart, who was influenced by J.S. Bach; a fun, playful collection to The Magic Flute is engaging for all ages. |
