Faith Jensen-Ismay will be offering New Classes in dance that will encourage children to dance from within as they explore a variety of movement skills. All classes will be a combination of technique with creative opportunities. As a mother of four children, ages 8-15, Faith understands the importance of a free and open spirit relating to dance; children need to be able to express a wide range of emotions while they develop their gross and fine motor skills. With Supervision, students will be encouraged to create their own choreography to be presented for public showings. The development of technical skills, cooperative learning, and creative dance will help the students to gain a greater understanding of dance as an art form.

Children’s Classes: Faith Jensen-Ismay will be offering “Mini Movers” classes in dance for children ages 6-10. The goal is to offer an eclectic dance class that includes creative dance combined with components from modern, jazz, and ballet. Children need to learn basic motor skills as well as developing the creative juices that shine through their personalities. The students will be encouraged through structured exercises and patterns that include basic technique with improvisation, as well as creating choreography through solos, duets and ensembles.

Teens and Tweens: Faith Jensen-Ismay will be offering “Eclectic Expression” with students ranging from 11 and up. Art and Education belong together; however, many students aren’t given the opportunity to express themselves through physical and creative experiences. With Supervision, students will be encouraged to create their own choreography to be presented for public showings. The development of technical skills, cooperative learning, and creative dance will help the students to gain a greater understanding of dance as an art form.
